Question for Matabeleland Turf Club

Good morning from Australia - I am asking if you can tell me anything about E. Fedisch who worked at the Turf Club in 1940. Was a man or woman? What did E stand for? What position did he/she hold at the Club? What happened to him/her? I know his/her residential address was 26 Duncan Road but I know nothing else. Can you help please. Many thanks David
