Review of Showman Tours & Leisure Services

My mother came in for a visit and needed a car to hire for the time she was around. I had heard of Showman tours from a friend and we went there. When she got there, the receptionist mumbled a greeting without looking at her, and made my mother wait for a car that was not at the company, but was going to be available in the evening. This was after my mother had called beforehand to confirm they had a car for her at the time she was to arrive. My mother is a very patient person, but she lost her temper after such treatment. To his credit, the boss came with the car to our house the next day, and gave us a discount. We did re-fuel the car, as it did not have much fuel. The car was in fairly good condition, the shocks do need replacing however. On returning the car and asking for our refundable security deposit (the car had more fuel on its return, and was in still in good condition), he told us he had spent it and will give it to us on the Monday (this was a Friday). Monday came and went, and we still didn't get our money. We tried calling, and the man was not picking up his phone. It's been 13 days now, and he finally picked up his phone and says he'll bring it today. I really hope he does. I honestly would not recommend Showman Tours to anyone, unless you're patient enough to run after your refundable security deposit, and are willing to be treated badly by his receptionists. I'm sure the company has potential, but from what I've seen and experienced, he needs to work on his business ethics.
