The Zimbabwe Academy of Music - Bulawayo

The Zimbabwe Academy of Music is a non-profit making trust founded in 1949 which moved to its present site in 1953. It promotes and teaches music to internationally recognised levels and offers courses on a variety of instruments as well as incorporating a well-equipped School of Rock. It is also currently expanding its ethnic music side and will be embarking on an outreach programme in the Western Suburbs at the beginning of 2012.

Its facilities include the Robert Sibson Hall which seats 400 people and is widely regarded as acoustically the finest small concert hall in southern Africa. The hall plays host to over a hundred Academy events annually and is also available for hire for all forms of music plus conferences, etc.
